How many season tickets will we sell?

A clever CEO would grasp what could happen on Saturday and extend now until 30th April, just in case it does happen. Absolutely nothing to lose.

 

All we have is OUR football club(Look at the rest of the sport in Bradford) The City fans have backed the club again and I am beginning to feel a little optimistic if things don't go our way on Saturday then these last 6 or 7 games have given me some hope we can take this into next season and with some great signings, we may be on the right track I hope.

@Bronco - can I just say the comment earlier about your good lady was heartwarming. I’m sure the grandson has already shown her it but in our somewhat cynical world, that was lovely. Well said sir.

 

Nice one Bronco, it was my late wife who got me watching City back in 74/75, spent our honeymoon in the Lakes via the Bankfield for our wedding night.

 

I don't think he'll do anything to be honest. Many called for an extension to the "guarantee your seat deadline" but were ignored and look at the numbers sold. I suppose it shows he doesn't have to extend anything because the supporters will crack before he does.

They should not even consider extending the early bird deadline, they did it before back in 2018(?) then the next year people just expected they'd do it again.

We have to move on from the bargain basement, cheapskate mentality. There are people who want us to buy our own training ground and stadium, while having a competitive playing budget, but only have Northern Counties East ticket prices, it's not realistic.

If there are people who'll only buy a season ticket if we are in league one, and are waiting to see if that extremely long shot comes off, then they can pay the higher price. I bet even at £349 it'd be amongst the cheapest.

 

In the zone of what I thought would be the take up. No real loss in terms of income as the price increase should cover most of it.

 

I suggested extending/reopening it up for 48 hours if a miracle happens but actually you're right, it should stay as it is and end at the Blondie song tonight.

 

The price increase and numbers sold means the club have taken a good bit more in revenue for season ticket sales over last year and with a bumper crowd for tomorrow boosting the coffers.
If Rupp is also putting his hand in his pocket, the budget for next season could be quite healthy.

 

So, we've lost 2000 customers, whoopee, well done ......

 

Ticket sales have not finished yet.
We might sell 2000 today, highly unlikely but they are usually busy on the last day. 25 year holders do not have a deadline i believe and ticket are still on sale after today, but i don not think they will shift many at the higher price.

 

You're right Tone, it shouldn't be brushed over how poorly this club has been run over the last few years, that from the top down. A small chance we might scrape the playoffs, as much as I'm looking forward to it, shouldn't detract from this.

 

We have done much better than I thought, 10k was my estimation. Nevertheless you are right we can’t just brush over it.

Rupp has spoken and said he will be more involved, also brought in David Sharpe, we will just have to see what happens.
Yes its been generally poor since his purchase of the club, but hopefully this is a fresh start and Rome was not built in a day, as the saying goes.
Lets just enjoy tomorrow and if things do not work out for us, come back next season with re- newed optimism.
